Outside the Box is a social enterprise. We are a source of independent community development support, information, training and advice to people who tend to be marginalised from their communities and who want to make a contribution.
Over the Fence has developed a website to give people who are new to social care information about how to get the support they want. The project began in 2011 and is funded by the Scottish Government as part of the programme to develop the capacity of people who use services and her families as part of the implementation of Self-directed support.
The content is based on the experience of other people who have been in these situations. There will be links to relevant contacts and organisations providing further information and support for people who are looking for support and for their families and friends across Scotland.
NDTi is a not-for-profit organisation working in England, which works to promote inclusive lives for people who are most at risk of exclusion and who may need support to lead a full life. NDTi exists to make change happen – change that leads to people having better lives.
Grampian Opportunities (GO) supports disabled people and people with mental health problems have choice and control in their lives. GO supports its members to increase their confidence and skill levels by providing supported opportunities in admin/office work, marketing, advertising, finance, events organisation, journalism, IT, driving and much more.
Community Catalysts is a Social Enterprise and Community Interest Company established by and working in close partnership with the charity Shared Lives Plus. They are a small group of energetic people who believe passionately in the power of people to effect social change.
The BRICC Care Agency is part of the larger Ballantrae Rural Initiative Care in the Community. The aim of the organisation is to support predominantly frail and elderly people in the local community and give them the opportunity to maintain their independence and remain in their own homes for as long as possible.
ENeRGI provide support and information for people living in North East Fife who have mental health and/or substance abuse issues through a drop in centre, housing support service and outreach support service. We offer individual recovery focused and holistic support. We also provide opportunities for volunteering, training, self-development and employment.
The Stepping Stones Organisation provides support to people who have experience of mental health problems. The organisation is led by its members and governed by a Board of Directors of past and present service users. Stepping Stones offer a needs-led and recovery-focussed service. It aims to help and support members individually or as part of a group, with the goal of regaining and maintaining good mental health.
STUN (Stirling Users Network)
STUN is an independent, user-led charity run by and for people with lived experience of mental health issues. They encourage and support people who use mental health services to participate in forums and consultations to influence services, so that they reflect the needs of those who use them.
